How It Works?
Immediately following the removal of the cold source, the body rapidly sends warmth to the area via expansion of the blood vessels, which dilate about 4 times larger than their normal diameter – this is called vasodilation. This process rushes the treated area with oxygenated fresh blood, saturating the tissues and bringing with it beneficial hormones, nutrients and neurotransmitters. Simultaneously, the lymphatic system carries away accumulated waste products and toxins.
The goal is for the local tissue to get all it requires to restore and rejuvenate to its optimal level, while eliminating harmful, damaging waste products.
